Thanks Dad!

Here is a video my dad put together. The footage was taken a couple days before we moved to California. Enjoy!

We are So. Cal Residents again!

Well, Tuesday the first of Oct. we set off on our 20 hour drive to Lancaster. We stayed at my parents house Monday night and left Tuesday morning around 7:45 AM. Logan fell asleep for the first 2 hours and awoke screaming! I had purchased a portable DVD player so that I could play his baby einstein movies. He enjoyed watching them for the first run, however, he became tired of them very quickly. Needless to say, we had to stop about every 2 hours there after due to Logan screaming to the point of choking! On our first night, we stopped in a little city called Minnemucca, NV. After 12 hours of driving (and screaming Logan) I was more than ready to call it a night, however, Logan was ready to crawl around the hotel room. I just let him do it and about 2 hours later he was asleep... and so were Donald and I.
Wednesday morning we left at around 8 AM and found out that the DVD player that I bought was broken. As in the screen would go black and fumes would come from the player. Logan fell asleep once we hit the road. Again Logan woke up 2 hours later. We decided to place Logans carseat in the moving truck with Donald. We figured that he wanted to see someone next to him and that placing him next to Donald might allow us to catch up to the time we had lost the previous day. And it worked! He would stay asleep for Donald for a 3 hour timeframe and we finally arrived in Lancaster by 7PM.
It's great to be back in California! But we will miss our family and friends in the Tri-Cities!

Some new pics of Logan.

The other day, I went over to my parents with Logan. These are a few of the pictures that were taken... Enjoy!

Too much to do....Soo little time!!!

So this last month has been crazy to say the least. Donald, Logan and I will be moving back to sunny Southern California the first of October. With that said, there is packing that needs to be done and doctor appointments that need to be made before the long 20 hour trek. And on top of it all, I'm trying to start bottle feeding a 9 month old who has his 7th and 8th teeth coming in! (That's right, # 7 and #8!) He is not a happy camper and will not sleep in his own bed and when he does sleep in our bed, he rolls around like a little worm!

One fun thing that we did this past week was go out to dinner with our friends Keith and Melissa. We went to Red Robin and then headed over to their house afterwards. The boys went and played video games (boys, ugh!) while the girls (of course) watched the kids and chatted. We didn't stay as long as we usually did, but it was still fun to be hanging out with someone other than my babbling, drueling, teething boy. Thanks again Keith and Melissa, we will miss you guys! :(

Well I will let you know how the move goes... cross your fingers that Logan is somewhat good for the up coming drive. I will take pics of our journey and post them for all to enjoy... expect ones with me pulling my hair out, Donald enjoying the drive in the U-Haul, and Logan with tears in his eyes for having his car seat rear facing and not being able to see Mommy.

Labor Day / Trip to Cour D'Alene

Donald received an email from his High School friend, Mark, inviting us to visit them in Cour D'Alene. So after I finished teaching primary, we took the 2 hour drive northeast. Logan was great in the car. He slept for the first hour and a half and would play with me the last half hour. We had a lot of fun with Mark and his wife Xan. Sunday night we stayed up and played Cranium until 1:30am. Logan stayed awake until 1 am as well! That boy just wanted to hang out. The next morning, we went to breakfast and drove around looking at homes. ( Mark was trying to convince Donald to move there... no luck! ) We stuck around so that Donald could watch the UCLA football game, and then we took off on our journey home. Logan slept the whole way home. It was a great weekend and thanks again for inviting us, Mark and Xan!

The little boy in the pictures playing with Logan is Ayden. He is Mark and Xan's 16 month old son. He was adorable and would play with Logan only until Logan wanted one of his toys and then he was not havin' it!

The Latest

Well, it's been a long month of teething! Logan had been so cranky the last couple of weeks. We at first thought he just had gas, but nothing that we did would keep him from crying. Suddenly, when he would chew on my finger it would hurt. He now has 6 teeth! Two are on the bottom and there are four on top. He started with the two bottom and then a week later his top teeth came in. But not the front teeth, the two teeth next to those. Needless to say he looked a little like Dracula, but in a cute way of course. He's still crying at night and will not allow me to put him in his crib! And then to top it off, he started pulling at his ears when he was tired or when I was nursing him or even when he would sit on the floor and watch Baby Einstein. But all is good... the doctor said that he has no ear infection and that he is just pulling on his ears probably because he found them.

Logan's latest and greatest discovery is that he learned that he could crawl to mommy while she was sitting on the sofa and stand himself up! Donald discovered this while he was on the floor playing with Logan and I was of course trying to get some "ME" time. Now, even if I'm not there, Logan will crawl towards the sofa and pull himself up. It's adorable, but very frightening!!! Donald and I know realize that we need to child proof our house!

A Day at the Pool

This past week Logan and I went swimming at the neighborhood pool. My mother, brother Blake, and my sister Kara joined us. I had purchased a sitting floaty for Logan. He really seemed to enjoy it. There is also a kiddie pool that he enjoyed. Logan would smile at all the little kids walking around. I am sure that we will be taking several more trips to the pool this year while the weather is still nice!
